FAQ’S

What can I expect for my First Counselling Session?

You can expect an invitation to a safe, warm and accepting environment where the initial goal is to get to know you, establish rapport and trust, and learn about your counselling needs. During the first session you will get to see our space and meet your Therapist to ensure that you feel the fit feels right for you. It can take a few sessions before you feel comfortable opening up and this is very common. There is no pressure and your Therapist will follow your lead.

Who can benefit from Counselling?

Anyone and Everyone! Often there is a misconception that counselling is about “something being wrong.” Counselling is about wellness and feeling balanced in life. We all live in a busy and fast paced society, sometimes taking care of ourselves feels difficult. Counselling is an opportunity to cultivate space just for you with a Therapist that supports your wellness goals and who is open to listening whole heartedly with empathy and care.

How Much does Counselling Cost?

Our rates vary depending on the Therapist and their level of experience, education and specialized training. Our rates begin at $160/session. We offer reduced rates for those without extended health coverage. We also offer free consultation appointments.

What if I don’t know where to start?

Many of us don’t, especially if it feels like we have a lot to process. Your Therapist is skilled in guiding the first session if you are unsure of what to talk about at the beginning.

Do you offer direct billing?

Yes, for eligible plans we bill directly to your Provider.

How many Counselling Sessions will I need?

This varies depending on the client and what their needs are. Some people are looking to process historical trauma which may require more time (6 sessions or more), others may need brief therapy due to an active stressor or life challenge (4 sessions or more).

Do you have evening or weekend appointments?

Yes, we are mindful that many clients need appointments after their workday and we try to accommodate both evening and weekend appointments.
